      The hard-working Norwegian midfielder arrived at The Dell in the early part of the campaign in a £300,000 switch from Premiership rivals, Coventry. After spells in his homeland with Viking Stavanger and Brann, the international moved to Highfield Road from his homeland's champions, Rosenborg, for £500,000 in July 1997. While with the Sky Blues he impressed manager, Gordon Strachan, with his incessant work-rate as he played a key role in the club's midfield. In 69 appearances for Coventry, he scored four goals until he was lured to The Dell by manager, Dave Jones. Since his switch, Soltvedt has been in and out of the team, but has never let anyone down when he has been called upon. Soltvedt has not figured in as many games under Hoddle so may be on the move this summer.
