Rosler in fitness scare

New summer signing Uwe Rosler had Hoddle worried earlier this week when he collided with Wolves keeper Michael Oakes in a pre season friendly at Molineux and then after limped off not to play for the rest of the match.

the scare is now over that Rosler has joined his team mates to carry on with pre season training and John Gorman has said that he will be fit and ready to play the first premiership game on 19th August and may even play on the last of Saints pre season fixtures against Real Sociedad on the 12th August.

Rosler has been one of Hoddle's very few signings over the summer period but Hoddle is convinced that the once premiership player at Manchester City will add what is needed up front and from his recent displays in the friendlies he seems a worthwhile signing.
