      England under-21 international, Oakley, made his first team debut for the Saints when he was still a trainee, and has been at The Dell all his career. The tough-tackling midfielder also possess neat passing ability and is an astute link man between midfield and attack. Prior to the start of this season, Oakley had made 112 appearances for the club and had scored eight goals. Equally at home in the engine room or slightly wider, Oakley has a promising future in the Premiership and has been a regular in the starting line-up this season, although the occasional injury has hindered his rapid progress. Oakley is developing well and is finding to be a key role to the Saints midfield and has even picked up 5 goals this season.
