      The long-serving Saint has been at The Dell for all his footballing career, and has been an inspiration in the club's continued survival in the top flight. Noted for his flamboyant skills and tremendous ability to strike a free-kick, Le Tissier has achieved God-like status on the south coast during over 13 years with the club. He has scored countless number of breathtaking goals from all over the pitch and is a constant source of imagination and invention during the game. He had played 504 matches for the Saints prior to the start of this season, and scored 205 goals during that spell. This season, though, has seen a minor fall in grace for the player as he has battled with his fitness, and struggled to find his best form. Despite constant speculation that he is ready for a move elsewhere, Le Tissier has been an admirable servant for the Saints. Le Tissier has also reached the status of one of the top goal scoring players in the Premiership scoring his 100th goal in the premiership against Sunderland last season.
